Cardboard is all the new rage, Great Depression art, wartime art, poor starving artist art, bohemian yes, how about resourceful, taking something that was dump bound and making it new and useful again, if someone throws this out than perhaps I am dead wrong, I doubt that very much. So why? Why paint on cardboard? Why not. Next question…. Okay yes I am one person asking myself questions, if you can’t question yourself what are you doing. The world my friends in many levels is a mess, like the first part of Spring in a Northern city, brown, messy, ugly, and somewhat depressing. So this is why my friends hälts sometime paints  on cardboard. It is also a great way to scale up, practice for the murals and discover new ways to make marks, and have fun, no pressure brah. The fact is though we truly are a wasteful society, we throw away a LOT of sh📍✝,  it’s kind of sad, and perhaps what’s sad is this is the legacy we are going leave to the next generations. So why did hälts paint on cardboard, because he cares about the planet and wants to leave a different legacy, and thankfully there’s a lot of folks out there doing the same thing. (Animated minimotion coming soon🌊💨)

Stages of ‘sun kissed moon’ which hälts titled it as such because he looked out his studio window and the sun was kissing the moon.

Hi my name is hälts, I am an artist, geographer, filmmaker and mostly a human being. Art is a gift that has been with us for time immortal. Mother Earth is the greatest artist, and who keeps me humble on my path. I consider myself to be a hybrid artist. I make murals, digital art, painting (acrylic and watercolour), filmmaking, photography and drawing. I inspire while also being inspired. Life is a gift, and that's how I treat it. I care about this planet, and all the life it sustains. Thank you kindly, hälts
