As I get back into some nice flow in the studio, new work begins to trickle out. I am working on several paintings at the moment, from water colour to acrylic, surf art to dreamtime, painter paparazzi, and more, this my friends is going to be an exiciting year for hälts art. I have decided to take a grass roots approach and do little shows in cafes and spaces atypical of the traditional gallery. After being in galleries early in in my career it became clear to me that politics was the art, which is why I have taken my own path, which may not be for everyone, and thats okay too. My motto has always been ‘just do the work’. It has been my expereince that the rest doesn’t always fall into place, however when it does you are ready, and thats half the battle.
