when the road bends why go straight. -Gypsy proverb
The highway turns and bends winding it’s way down the coastline like a snake. As I peer out my window the world is a green blur with intermittent colourful streaks and that fine line when abstract turns to form. The mind transforms to this new reality shedding layers of past dust in the guises of guilt and doubt. Drifting in and out I find myself in a field between two worlds, as wheels turn full circle counting off the lives sacrificed to make these roads which this restless soul now travels.

As this beast carries me along littered plastic bottles, Coca Cola signs and graffiti style painted mural billboards provide evidence of human populous. Occasionally we stop in some small town to drop off and pick up, not quite long enough to stop and eat, always pack food when on a bus. I sense I am making good time, so far the trip has been seamless…mental note, ‘when in Mexico do not get ahead of yourself!’
